2) The ability to nod continuously and say ¨si¨every 15 seconds during a conversation which was pretty interesting, I think.
3) The ability to sit in a bus or bus terminal for 30 hours straight and afterwards tell your fellow volunteers that ¨It wasn´t that bad.¨
4) That changing course is different than giving up.
5) That you can play a game of 3 on 3 basketball with out a single basketball hoop.
6) That faking incompetence in the Spanish language is a great trick when getting robbed. (Ryan Marsh)
7) Fully ¨integrating¨ is not truly possible.
8) How not to feel guilty while planning tomorrows lecture while laying on the beach, taking much needed mental-breaks from laying in the sand with a game of ultimate frisbee, and taking a break from the sun with a swim in the ocean, and another break playing fetch with Vaquita, and another break putting on sun lotion, and...
9) That Ecuadorian love hits the hardest just when you lose all interest in the obsessive and controlling Ecuatorianas...
10) That some people will support any crazy idea.
Thanks for your support during the first six months. Let´s see what else I can stumble on during the next six months.
