Ryan,
Things here are pretty good. Scary good. I am acting competent every day hoping that someday it will come. Hopefully it comes early enough, before they realize I am not exactly an expert but really just a fresh college graduate trying to learn this stuff too; all of this before my lecture to 30 -50 (which is the figure they gave me today). They will be getting the first of the Seis Charlas to a group who acted very very interested in starting a small business today during our meeting... and I don´t have long to become smart for this however, this meeting is on the 18th of this month..
Anyways. Things here are MOVING indeed, which is great I guess. I am also pretty much over talking and having people look at me like ¨what the hell is this gringo saying¨. Or this look is the best, ¨Are you seriously retarded¨. That is a good one. I like that one because I just nod my head at whoever gives me that look. Then just keep on talking bad Spanish.
New Years was fine. Hung out here and stomped around in the streets with Bahianites like they do everywhere else in Ecuador. Good times the next day. Hung out on the beach, worked on my tan (which I didn´t have one), and then danced to music coming from four shoulder high stereos stacked in the back of a truck. That was a beautiful day.
