A month and a few weeks in from entering my site and I am still finding myself training to find a piece of home in all that is going on. Vacaita, my dog (I changed her name after two days) was an eye-opener to my community member at first, but now my community is sad to see her not tagging along the few times I walk through the village, along the river, without her.

The students came a week ago to the new private highschool located in the middle on the Napo River. They are from all parts of the jungle. From city to towns, from 15-30 years of age, they are all motivated to have this opportunity to receive a highschool education and possibilities of University education.

My role is still developing and is too soon to really say for sure but I will indeed keep you all posted on here. In the meantime, I´m playing with my puppy and boy did I luck out... she shares the love whenever I need it and makes me feel a little more at home.

In a Hurry to get on the canoe for Mondaņa.
