iŽm in the beautiful jungle city of 30,000 peops, Tena, a tourist hot spot let me tell you.. you seriously see them on every street.. but my fellow pcv who is stationed here tells me that this is the hot season for them (jun-aug). they flock here for the beatiful mountain jungle area and the crazy river rapids which have become popular over the last 10-12 years i suppose by outdoor enthusiasts (says LonelyPlanet Guide). last night I played with a pet monkey. i have pics so iŽll upload them when i get a chance.

from here i meet up with my counterpart, Friedman, who is going to take me on the back roads, 5 hours into the jungle from here tomorrow at 530 in the morning where we will jump on a canoe for Yachana Lodge. i couldnŽt be more stoked. I CAN NOT BE MORE STOKED

alright, well iŽm outty.. meeting up with Friedman for lunch here in a minute.
