Today was very full; I hope I can remember everything! We woke up early this morning and boarded a coach (bus) for Stonehenge. It was an interesting sight when we arrived at Stonehenge. There is fencing, so you can't walk up to the stones, but we walked around the stones and I took lots of pictures. The stones are impressive and it's interesting to think about when and how they were originally arranged. In my class Sacred London, we studied the creation of Stonehenge and other henges in Europe. Stonehenge is the oldest and the stones there are actually the third set to be constructed. Originally, there was lumber and now the stones are different types from different places. One third of the stones are actually underground, which is impressive. Also, it was funny to here the different theories about how the stones were constructed. They included sacrificial sites, aliens, astronomy and the devil. It was really windy (kind of reminded me of West Texas) and pretty cold.

After Stonehenge, we went to Bath which is a beautiful town. I would really like to go back and spend more time at the museums. There was a Jane Austen Center (she lived in Bath for several years), History of Jeans Museum, Clothing Museum and Bath Museum. The Bath Museum was the only one we had time to visit today. When we first arrived, everyone dispersed to eat lunch. Three friends and I found a vegetarian pub, it was awesome! Really good food and all vegetarian! After lunch, we met the group back at Bath Abbey and began a walking tour of the town. It was informative, if not a little tiring, but the tour ended back at the Abbey and from there we went into the Roman Bath Museum for an audio tour. We got home from Bath around 7 pm (19:00, I'm getting used to the way they tell time here) and everyone was exhausted, so we called it an early night.

On Saturday, I am going with a friend to watch the musical The Last 5 Years in the West End. We found tickets for 10 pounds each which is a really good deal. Afterwards, we're going to meet up with some people to go to Nando's, which is a popular Portugese restaurant. My friend Jennie spent the summer in Australia and discovered a love for this kind of food.

I also wanted to mention this past week because it was so busy with classes that I didn't have time to post. This past Monday I went and saw Mary Poppins, the musical. It was phenomenal! A family friend had recommended I see it and she was right, the show was a great production. It's slightly different from the movie because it goes back to the novel for the plot.

Hope everyone is doing well! If you are reading this site, it would be awesome to see in the guest book who's visiting the site! Thanks and have a great week!
