I spent the weekend in Chitwan National Park.  I met up with 10 of my friends from the orientation.  It was really nice to see everyone again and have such a good time together.  We all stayed in this lodge that was all inclusive.  We paid $70 which included transport, lodging, food and all the activities.  We did so many amazing things.  This region of Nepal is so different from the rest.  It's flat fertile grasslands as compared to the mountains of the north.  There are many tribes whose main occupation is farming.  We visited a local village and learned about their traditions which was very interesting.  We also visited an elephant stable where they keep and breed some elephants.  The next day, we woke up very early and took a canoe trip down the river and saw crocodiles.  After that, we took a jungle walk but unfortunately saw no animals.  After that we went back to the river and took a bath with the elephants.  I was the first one to rip off my clothes and raise my arms upwards at the man on the elephant so he could let me on.  Laura and Carolina get on with me and the elephant then splashes you with water from his trunk.  he does that a few times, which is hilarious and then shakes wildly to throw you into the river.  We were so excited that we did it again but this time we stood on the elephant's butt and dove head first into the river.  This was one of the greatest things I've done in my life.  I know I keep saying stuff like that, but this one was great.  We then took stones and scrubbed the elephant, which it really liked.  After that, we went on a elephant safari where there were 4 of us on an elephant, walking through the jungle.  We saw a one horned rhino, which was amazing as they are an endangered species.

Overall, I am getting used to life on the road like this.  I love Nepal more than India.  I can see myself returning to this amazing country every year if I can.  I have a strange feeling that life is pulling me in an opposite direction that I intended but I don't really know where.  I'll just have to see and find out I guess.
