Where I stayed
KOA in Hagerstown, Md.
What I did
Rode the Skyline Drive
We are staying at the KOA in Hagerstown, Md
. which is very nice, we are in a Kabin with air conditioning, so not bad. Tomorrow we will head for Aliquippa, Pa and Home for a couple of days to visit with the folks and give the bikes a well deserved rest.
We have enjoyed riding with Carol and Scott today. Its a shame that we don't live closer, we would be doing a whole lot of riding and inventing excuses not to work. Kids, what kids.....
Will write more tomorrow, as we aren't having great internet connection tonight. Until then.....
Well, today we took off from Culpepper, Va. After a great visit with Sherry's sister Sandy and her husband Jon we left and rode to Charlottesville to have breakfast at IHOP with Sandy. It was a great time although I may disown her as a sister in law after she soaked my coffee cup in soapy water all night in an attempt to clean it, what ever was she thinking. The coffee cup survived though so I guess all is forgiven. We had a lot of fun with her and Jon and can't wait to get together again. Our ride through the Skyline Drive was really nice. The day was cloudy and overcast so the views weren't the greatest, but the ride was fun none the less because of all the curves, the speeds are only 35 mph so it takes awhile, After about 60 miles or so we decided to get out of the park and do some faster riding. We did get caught is some rain off and on but not to bad. There was alot of road construction in the park due to them getting ready for their 75th anniversary of the park. We did manage to ride about 225 miles so not a bad day.
