What I did
Transfargarasan Highway

Got up this morning with the intention of doing the Transfargarasan Highway, it's a military road that runs across the Carpathian Mountains....-

When I left the hotel at 9.30 it was chucking it down, the Transfargarasan can be a bit of an interesting ride in good weather, the road surface is patchy to say the least so I wasn't looking forward to doing it in the rain. Fortunately by the time I got there it had cleared up, no rain but a bit chilly...so that's it done both ways North to South 2 years ago and the reverse today. The road surface hasn't got any better.....the views though are still spectacular, you should give it a go if you get the chance.....

After the Transfargarasan  I headed of to a to a town  called Cluj Napoca, I stayed there about 4 years ago, in a complete dump of a hotel called "Hotel Napoca" I decided to give that a miss so found something else quite decent for 20 a night....checked out the "Hotel Napoca" it's now a 4 star palace....

I picked Cluj because it's a big town & I need a rear tyre for the bike, it now slides all over the place in the wet and as I'm seeing more rain I want to change it.....soon! It won't last another 500 miles anyway.

So check out the scenery in the photos....
