Koh Tao is famous for its dive sites and the most inexpensive place to get your PADI license. Another reason for us to go back to this remarkable place. One night in Sunrise bungalow at the main beach of Sairee. Met up with Aaron (who we met at full moon party) who bought us dinner at friend's Chinese restaurant. Met his friends including Marco (young resident DJ in Ibiza) and his girlfriend Cherie who makes cool leather bags. A few vodka redbulls at Moove bar then headed to The Castle for one of their tri-monthly parties. Awesome club in the middle of nowhere. Marco on the turntables - awesome set, fantastic time. Danced non-stop for hours.
Must be the most expensive taxi rides in the whole of Thailand - 300 Bhat ($15NZ) minimum, even for a 2km ride!
Next we moved to Ban Chalok Bankao and stayed at Bhora Bhora resort for a few nights - tiny but wonderful bungalow nestled in the hills, amongst the abundant fecundity, overlooking beach. Generally hung out and enjoyed the laid back atmosphere. Very much a paradise. Spent one day snorkelling with the sharks at shark bay... nearly shat our togs!
Seem to be many dogs in Thailand all from the same great grandfather. Half wolf, permanently imobile, curly tails (presumably broken shortly after birth), and many with unusually short stumpy legs. These ones all seem to all respond to the name 'Stumpy' too!
