After touching down in Singapore on my way to Thailand I find everyone in the terminal is gawking at Singapore Airlines new flagship, the world's first production Airbus A380.

This is the largest passenger aircraft ever built. It might be the biggest plane ever; I will have to check on that. The thing is crazy big. I will post some pictures. It makes the two 737's sitting on either side look matchbox size. They are flying only the Singapore to Sydney run with the plane and it has only been running for a couple of weeks. The first flight made aviation news.

Look at the other pictures with the guys working on the side; it helps put the enormous plane size in prospective.

Pretty incredible. In Singapore they have built a gate just to handle the plane, and I later found out that there is a new runaway that was built to handle the impact of the weight of the aircraft.
