I had planned on taking a very very slow, almost a day off, today. I wanted to just walk about 10 k to an ancient monastery where a group of italian volunteers run a pilgrim hospital. THere is no electricity and they do a ritual washing of pilgrims feet. Very authentic. I thought it would be a good change to sit and be alone and contemplative.

I woke up late with a bad stomach ache and i thought i had lost my camera! eventually it turned up as i was on the verge of tears.

I met an american couple (the guy had gone to notre dame!!!) on the route, and i walked and talked with them for a bit, deciding to keep on walking past the turn off for the monastery.

SO, i am here in formista, reunited with the germans and damon. WIll have som tapas in the bar tonight...

missing everyone at home!!!!
