Last night at the performace, I met a woman that provided me with more details for catching a bus to Dresden. So... early in the morning, I booked a roundtrip ticket on a bus for 32 euros to go to Dresden with three other friends.

The bus ride took about 2 and a half hours.  It was nice to get out of Berlin and see a little bit of the country. The scenery consisted of flat farm land, pine trees, and wind turbines.  The bus ride was very nice and relaxing.  We arrived in Dresden a little before 9am.  We walked to a nearby cafe and grabbed some breakfast and coffee.

From there, we began walking towards the spires that loomed above the modern shopping areas.  Much of Dresden has been rebuilt.  We made our way to the Zwinger Palace - it was beautiful.  It had been fairly quiet up to thi point but as we entered this area, more and more people and tour buses began to arrive.  Soon, the place was bustling with people and tourists.

As you may have noticed from my recent limited entries, I am now in an area where I have limited acess to the internet.  I will add to this entry and add photos soon - check back around June 20.

Next stop, Paris.
