Liz and I drove up from Cannes to this adorable town called Mougins, which I still do not think I can properly pronounce. The downtown/old town is a tiny circular village on top of a hill. We went through/around the town 3 times, just to check if we missed any alley or building. The views were great and the town was so adorable. A couple had just gotten married in the old church & were getting their pictures taken, with rose petals strewn all over the street. It seemed like an artists' haven that probably is overrun by tourists during the summer months, but is wonderfully sleepy during the rest of the year. Like many French towns, it also supposedly had a number of very good, but expensive restaurants. We didn't try any, but did stop by a bar for a Pastis, a classic French drink that tastes like black licorice. The waitress there was actually Swedish - I heard her say "Uppsala" a few times while speaking to the table next to us. Uppsala is the 4th or 5th largest city in Sweden & just north of Stockholm. We chatted a bit about Sweden & I tested my few Swedish words on her before Liz and I had to hit the road for our drive to Monte Carlo for the evening.
