Just got back from 4.5 days in St. Petersburg, Russia. I'll try to update the writing part later, but I'll put up some pictures first.
Overall, I loved St. Petersburg, but I'd need another week to see & do everything. Wonderful architecture, art, history, churches, etc. Didn't get to the ballet. But, the city is EXPENSIVE!!! And service can be quite bad, even by European standards. People rarely smile, even less than the Swedes in the winter. But, if you stay & chat with some of them, they warm up. Its just a bit disconcerting to walk around a wonderful city & observe that everyone looks miserable.
I was traveling with my parents, so I have tons of pictures - but they are either with no people in them or just me. My parents are kind of camera shy while my dad loves to take pictures.
