Before getting back on a plane, I managed to visit 3 tourist sites in the suburbs of Nairobi:
The Giraffe Center, run by the Wildlife fund
Karen Blixen Musuem/House (writer of "Out of Africa")
Nairobi National Park's Safari Walk (educational facility) and Animal Orphanage

If you're in Nairobi on your way to Safari in the Maasai Mara, I'd probably skip these and go to the National Archives if you have time. But these were good stops (particularly the 2nd 2) for someone with little time and who was not going to safari.

I have plenty to write about, so I'll update this a bit later...
