Mis Amigos!

I am planning two big events in final preparation for my departure:
A Garage Sale, on Saturday, July 22, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and
a Farewell Bash and Fundraiser, on Saturday, July 29, from 7:00 p.m. to ??

First: Garage Sale for Honduras

I am planning a garage/yard sale at my apartment complex, two weeks from today, on Saturday, July 22, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. My apartments are at 2121 E 52nd St, Indianapolis. Here is a link to a map to my apartment complex. I have many things I need to depart with as I attempt to downsize. I will be selling a variety of articles, including the following (I hope to add some pictures to this log a few days before the event):

* Hand-made wooden coffee table
* Hand-made wooden end/lamp tables
* Microwave
* Variety of paperback and hardcover books
* Sweaters (stock up for coming winter - ??)
* T-shirts (short and long sleeve)
* Dress and casual button up shirts
* Slacks and jeans
* Two lamps
* Multiple nick-nacks
* Old silverware
* Small area rugs
* Entertainment center
* 52" screen Mitsubishi projection television
* and much more... -my neighbors provide an eclectic assortment...

If you, or a recent graduate, are in need of any of these items I would love to see you there. My phone number, if you would like to ask about any of these items, is (317) 691-7820.

Second: Farewell Bash and Fundraiser

(pero mas importante - but more important)
This will be held on Saturday, July 29, beginning at 7:00 p.m. It will be held at my good friends, Tony and Leigh Hinkle's house, at 8920 Sassafras Ct, Indianapolis, on the northwest side of town. Here is a link to a map to their house.

I am asking only that each of you consider a $10 donation to the San Jeronimo Bilingual School, in Cofradia, Cortes, Honduras. The size of donation is completely up to you, and is NOT mandatory. A gift to the school, written to "Bilingual Education in Central America," is tax deductible. I will have some small gifts, such as free trade coffee, tea, cocoa, and chocolate to share with each of you!

If possible I would love to see you there.

Take care, and buenos dias!

Re: Gracias

I think that's pretty good! Amazingly, I think I was able to read it!! I'm working on my Spanish, just about every day.

I understand if you can't make it, but would love to see you if you can. Best of luck with your Master's class.
