Im not really sure what to write about Cali. The area of the city we were staying in was really nice but I got the feeling that the rest of the city was really dirty and scattered in all aspects. Nearly everyone we had met in Colombia had been super friendly and Cali was no exception. Whilst visiting one of my favorite tourist attractions (the supermarket) we met so many random people who just came up to say hello. One couple was eye balling us for a long time before approaching us at the checkout to welcome us to Colombia. They explained that everybody was staring because they didn't get that many travellers to their country because of its bad image. Everywhere we went we were stared at which got a little frustrating but we decided it was just like being a Hollywood actor.

Every single day we had been in Colombia it had been raining. So the first day the sun attempted to shine we headed off for the Cali zoo which is meant to be the best in South America Always my favourite. The tigers

 . The zoo was really nice but it didn't have anything on Sydneys Taronga zoo. It did give us the chance to see a lot of the animals that were probably about on our
Amazon tour but we were too blind to see. One of the coolest attractions was the butterfly enclosure. What I wouldn't have given for my digital SLR and a macro lens.

The rest of our time was spent partying a little too hard and recovering the next day in front of the tube. The clubs in Cali weren't exactly top notch but they did the job. Although if I hear any more salsa or regatone music I may commit mass murder.
One of the clubs we ventured to had a largish pool with a balcony surrounding it on the first floor. Just before we left daz thought it would be a top idea to do the jump. It was classic. He made instant friends with a table of guys who were dressed for success. They were just about to hang him out to dry before security stepped in to drag him outside.

So after yet another weekend of debauchery it was time to head to the city of Medellin where some of the worlds most beautiful women come from :0)
