Well after boarding are extremely comfy bus in Iguazu we were on our way to BA in luxury. THe seats folded almost flat and were like big lazy boys. There was enough room to swing a small cat. We also had in seat service of hot meals and drinks including red or white wine with dinner then a champagne nightcap.
So after polishing off a meal worthy of any aircraft with a glass of red and then a pretty awful Champagne night cap we were all snuggling down in our seats dozing off. Sure enough there was a massive cracking noise then the bus was fishing all over the road. We had no idea what had just happened and assumed the driver had just run off the road onto the dirt and lost control
2nd floor madness
. The bus finally came to a holt a few minutes later so we got up to take a look.A couple of girls Louis knew were sitting a few seats down from us and were standing looking very shocked. The windows along half the second story of the bus had been shattered and the girls along with other passengers had been showered in glass. This was enough for us to get our cameras out and start shooting. At first we thought this was the worst of the damage until we stepped outside. The bus had almost run head on into a truck and had some how managed to swerve and hit just the first foot of the drivers side of the bus before scrapping down the whole length of the bus breaking windows on both levels. Only one lady needed to be admitted to hospital with head wounds but there was a lot of people including kids with cuts and with glass in their hair and clothes.
So all in all we were extremely lucky. The bad news was we had to change buses and the new one was not so comfy.
