Everyone has checked out and left on the bus for Narita Airport except for the fellow who lost his passport... 

Morning after post-adrenaline dump.  Tired, ready to go home.  I know that I'll rally once I get on the train.

- fast forward a few hours -

Left Tachikawa around 11：00. Started using my Rail Pass by taking the same train as yesterday into Tokyo. Checked my duffel (with all my iaido uniforms) and got my ticket for a
bullet train (shinkansen) to Utsunomiya and a regular train to Nikko. Found the ryokan (bed and breakfast) where I'm staying. Very nice older couple who speak good English.

Too late to get to the shrine or museums, so just figured out my train schedule for tomorrow and walked into town to reconnoiter. Looks like Nikko is a tourist town for the Japanese as there are tons of trinket stores. Wish I could read the clothing, probably something like - " Mom and Dad went to Nikko and all I got was this t-shirt!"

Short sweet and some info to impart. Is all that culture wearing you out? How you holding up traveling by yourself?
