To get to Paris from London, we'll take the Eurostar to Paris, traveling by train under the Channel. We’ve heard great things about this.

When we get to Paris we’ll probably buy travel tickets and the Museum Pass (Paris’ version of the Londonpass). We haven’t booked anything specific for Paris yet. The only thing we know is that we’re going to Disneyland Paris for one day and the Palace of Versailles. For you Harry Potter fans, Nicholas Flamel lived in Paris and his house is still there. In fact, it’s the oldest building in Paris (c. 1400s). We want to find that!

Next we fly to Venice! After we land we’ll figure out how to handle the water transportation and find our hotel.

Right now, we only know of one place we definitely want to visit in Venice: the Doge Palace, it's like Venice’s really old White House. And, they have a "Secret Tour" that we’ve already booked that will take us to see the Palace, and then underground to the catacombs to see where they use to house, torture and execute prisoners, among other things. Sounds fun!

We’re also going to see Florence (home to Michelangelo's David, Botticelli's Birth of Venus, Raphael's Madonnas and the Duomo) and Pisa. Then we’ll take a day to see both Verona (the setting of Romeo & Juliet and an ancient Roman stronghold) and Padova (one of Italy's most important medieval and Renaissance cities). Lots of traveling but we want to see as much of Italy as we can.

After that, we'll be coming home.

As you can see, we're very excited! Jason even bought a brand new camera that takes great digital pictures and HD video. His current plan is to upload pictures and videos at the end of every day to this travel blog so you guys can see everything!
