On our second full day in the city of love, we went on a shopping spree all over town. We started our day with some baguettes and Orangina and made our way to the Opera area for some shopping. Our first stop: Uniqlo where Justin and I went HAM on clothes.

Talk about a small world, when I was checking out of Uniqlo, I ran into Sam from Brisbane who was on my Top Deck Tour three years ago! Sam was with his girlfriend about to embark on another tour. What are the chances, I ran into that dude! Total opposite sides of the earth vacationing in the same area once again.

After that, I officially got on MACARON OVERLOAD. I saw another Laduree kiosk and bought 6 more Macarons then went to Pierre Herme and bought another 7. I can't believe that I'm saying this but I am over Macarons!

Once we finished shopping we made our way via metro to the gardens of Luxembourg. (In french, Jardins au Luxemberg) We found seats under a nice shaded area where people gathered to watch beat boxers entertain the area.

Out in the center was a gigantic pond with minature sailboats and a manor that used to or still houses the French Senate. (Can't remember what I read) For lunch, I officially overloaded myself with Macarons, a tuna baguette and some delicious Orangina.

After Luxembourg we strolled down the il de l'citi to Notre Dame. It's amazing how it stands on an island on the River Seine. We then walked behind Notre Dame to St. Loui when I had the best Berhillion Ice Cream ever. Apparently it was salted caramel and I couldn't read it in french. LOL

We headed home to relax for a while then headed up the steps of Sacre Cour amoungst the pick pocketers and gypsys only to find a nice little restaurants on the side streets of Montmarte called Chez Marie. There I had the three course meal that included many french delicacies. For starters I had a great tasty bowl of Onion Soup. Then we had more escargo and this time it tasted more buttery, kind of like lobster. My main dish was rib steak with potatoes au gratin and fries. The restaurant serves complimentary Rose house wine although I still had a 1/4 liter of their red wine. To finish off the meal, we had creme brulee that tasted more like flan in the creamy area.

Post dinner we walked around Sacre Cour and enjoyed the inspiring Paris night.
