Once again we slept way past the free breakfast time, we were up pretty late last night after going out drinking in Cusco and the free breakfast looks pretty basic anyway, so we'd rather just sleep in and fix ourselves something later when we get up. So we started late and we were both pretty hungover. We headed down to Plaza de Armas and had everyone's favorite hangover food at the Golden Arches. We needed to buy our entry tickets to Machu Picchu before we go tomorrow. You can buy the tickets in the last town before the site called Aguas Calientes but we thought to save time and get maximum time at Machu Picchu we would buy them today so we have everything we need before we leave. We looked around for a place on the map we got from our hostel that was the culture center of the city, I had read on the internet you can buy Machu Picchu there. We couldn't find it anywhere, I went into a tourist information center and I asked a lady in there and she gave me the address for the actual place where the tickets are sold on the other side of town, she also told me it was a special day today and she had a gift for me which was a small hand made bag. We walked over and tried to find the place selling tickets which ended up being difficult due to the fact it was down a different street a little, off of the main road which was the address we were given. At one point I asked a lady out the front of a museum who looked like she would know, her directions went in one ear and out the other, she spoke pretty good English but I still have no idea what she said. Eventually after walking and looking for a couple of hours, we found it. The cost was pretty expensive, even the train tickets were more than I expected but maybe it's because I got used to how cheap everything was in Mexico, but I guess Machu Picchu is one if the 7 wonders of the world so the government is gunna capitalize on it. After getting the tickets, on the walk back we found a salsa dancing lesson studio and had a chat with a lady out the front, she didn't speak English so we had to get our Spanish on. We thought we might return on Monday if we get a chance for a lesson. After heading back we chilled out for a while in the hostel Bobbie had been feeling a little under the weather but felt a lot better after Skyping with her family, as it was her birthday in Australia being 15 hours in front of Peru. After the Skyping we headed back to the tiny restaurant we had the nice soup at on the first night, this time we had a pizza deal with soup, pizza and drink for 25soles. We had to be in bed early due to having to get up at 5.30am to head to Machu Picchu.
