Joe has had a stomach ache for a couple of days now so we have used it as an opportunity to chill out a bit before we go to Thailand on Thursday. Hopefully he will be better tomorrow though and we will go and visit another tourist attraction - they're really not hard to come by in the bigger cities.
We did go shopping a bit though yesterday and discovered the main shopping area which was good, people seem to be much more helpful there.. one man randomly shouted 'welcome to India!' at us which just shows how lost we must still look even though we feel at home compared to last week! I gave in to a beggar for the first time, as he was shaking as if he had Parkinson's just lying curled up on the floor (i almost stood on him in fact) and he had growths coming from all of his limbs and didn't look like he could possibly do anything else but lie there. We have been thinking about it and when you know that the average waiter here earns around 25 pounds a month if that and the people who beg money probably earn 3 times that in a week you can see how it might seem worthwhile to do it but as our group leader told us it is bad for the economy as the kids then grow up with the idea that they don't have to work. There are two sides to every story and in the case of the man I gave money to, it probably wasn't a choice.
Anyway, nothing much has happened for the last two days and Joe should be better soon, I finally convinced him to drink lots of water today when he started getting dehydration headaches and admitted that me and medical science were both against him on that one (he had decided that not taking anything into his body was the way to go which is probably why it has lasted longer than when I was ill). He also managed some chips earlier.

Anyways, will try to upload photos now as I don't have much else to do except eat a really nice curry whilst Joe watches later :) muhaha
