hey guys its Joe again!! this time i just have to stall you because nothing has happened today...
we spent alot of time driving today and arrived in jaipur at about 1-2pm from there we have slept, been attacked by angry monkeys and fended off a pickpocket... pretty standard really.
so we were updating this blog from a previous day (yes we cheat, but dnt tell anyone! (and we do take notes on the day anyway)) and i decided to go back to the room and take a shower, when i got to the top of the second flight of stairs i decided to take a run up for the third, so i ran up and when i got to the top i managed to scare away 3 rather large monkeys. (dog sized monkeys)...(a medium sized dog) .. (smaller than a labrador... bigger than a jack russel.... cocker spaniel maybe...) anyway this is besides the point! i waited for them to come back and was then alerted by the fact that they began to hiss a little bit. baring in mind that this landing the 4 of us stood on is around 12 square feet, i decided to get into the door asap. Rick, our extremely entertaining friend from the tour decided against this. so he ran out and began to roar at them. i stayed inside. they began to hiss again. i stayed inside. he made a move first towards them then back into the door, slamming it just in time for the angriest biggest monkey to hit the window and scrape down it!! a man with a brush shooed them away and i ran back to the safety of the computer :S sorry to disapoint you paul but sweeping man may have to look after jaya, monkeys hate me! Jaya meanwhile was upset she missed the monkeys.
then on a walk later on we were just a few feet from the group when Jaya started to notice a man following us at just above our pace so he would meet us in a few moments. we walked faster. so did the strange man. we walked on the road in opposition to the flow of traffic (standard practice here, but were still a little unerved by buses!). The strange man followed. we stopped and he walked infront of us so we thought we were in the clear till 30 seconds later he was behind us again. being the whizzkids we are everything was in front, securely fastened pockets. but we were worried for our friends none the less, so i warned them and at first look of us being part of a large group that had spotted him he was gone. team J.J 1 robberers 0.
love to all.
