From our monsoon experience on Costa del Cambodia the weather has already drastically improved for us back in the capital. I think we all would have enjoyed Sihanoukville a whole lot more if it had not rained so heavily the entire time we were there. In four days we just got one dry morning on the beach (which was not that inviting anyway). The first time I walked down to the water it distinctly reminded me of a British beach; cold, rainy and not somewhere you would want to go swimming.

After suffering from a weather induced cold (and running out of money) Anton headed back to Bangkok a couple of days ago. Zohar left this morning (also back to Bangkok) but is now heading down to the beaches of southern Thailand (hopefully he will have better weather). So the Fantastic Four is no more. Shawn and I decided this morning to stop draft dodging and sign up for our Tour of Duty. We're off to Vietnam!

We have booked cheap AirAsia tickets (US$45) from Hanoi to Bangkok for mid June so we will be starting our overland Vietnam journey from here up the coast in a couple of days. I can think of worse places than Phenon Penh to hang out while we wait for our tourist visas (US$30) to get processed; this capitol city is actually growing on me.
