Yesterday I had my second test drive (this time on a motorway) of one of the cars I liked at the Ellerslie car fair, and then agreed to buy it. It's a 1990 Nissan Sentra Station Wagon (which looks a bit like a Nissan Sunny Estate). This afternoon the previous owners (a nice couple from Titiranga) and I completed the paperwork, which took less than five minutes at the Post Shop, and then I became the proud owner of TROGDOR.

To complete the sale of a car in New Zealand the only information I as the buyer needed to supply were my full name, date of birth, address, photo ID (driving licence or passport) and a $9.20 administration charge. It really could not be simpler.

By the way, he's called TROGDOR because he's green.
