Road trip to Northland

In about an hour I shall be off on my first adventure in New Zealand. Sebastian bought a car yesterday and we are heading north to do a weeklong tour of Northland. It should be a little warmer the further north we go, as much as five degrees warmer than here, which will be a welcome change.
We have not got a tent but there are plenty of places to stay in the costal towns along the way. We do not have any set plans but want to make it all the way to Cape Reinga, where the Tasman Sea meets the Pacific Ocean. There are some great hiking trails along the way so I went shopping this morning for a pair of suitable walking shoes; there are bargains to be had at the Warehouse on Customs Street West.
