Ahora, hay que jugar un poco a la lotería porque dependiendo del nivel de agua que lleve el río el salto puede ser de 22 metros de altura a algo inexistente ya que la subida del río le pasa por encima y lo hace desaparecer.
Y aunque teóricamente el verano es la mejor época del año para visitarlo porque es cuando menos agua lleva el río en esta región nunca se sabe muy bien como van a venir las lluvias.
Nosotros las agarramos con 4-5 metros de caída, y vale es bonito, pero después de estar en Iguazú y ver el video del lugar con su máximo esplendor la verdad es que te quedas con ganas de mas, de bastante mas.
4 hours south from Iguazu and on the border with Paraguay and Uruguay you find the Mocona waterfalls, the longest horizontal waterfall in the world (near 3.000metres) now the splendour of the place is a little like to play to the lottery because depending of the level of water on the river, the falls can be of a maximum of 22metres to completely despair. By theory, the best part of the year to pay a visit is on summer because the level of the river is the lowest but you really never know in this part of the country how the rains are going to come.
We catch them with 4-5 meters, and OK, the place is beautiful, but after been in Iguazu the day before and saw the video of the Mocona at his best moment your expectations are a little bit bigger, quite bigger.
