I had passed through Coquitlam many times, but I had never actually stopped in Coquitlam before. Yesterday, after my parents decided I needed more exercise, they drove me to Coquitlam to 'Cap's Westwood Cycles'. We travelled nearly an hour to get to this bicycle shop, which was having their 'recession sale'. Several bikes were marked at over 50% off. I saved over $200 on the bike that I bought. After trying out different bikes for nearly an hour, I settled on a light blue bicycle. The parking lot is relatively small, so make sure you get there early to find a parking spot. It is open Mon-Sat 9.30-6 and Sun 11-5.

After purchasing the bike, we visited the 'Han Ah Reum' Korean supermarket. My Korean friends had been raving about this supermarket for a long time. Although the prices were ridiculously high, there were many sampling stations that made up for this. I sampled kimchi (spicy preserved vegetables), and spicy raw fish (They didn't tell me it was fish when I tried it-I thought it was some kind of vegetable). We ended up leaving with a bunch of premade food. The most interesting ones were the deep fried black beans (Even though they were just beans, it was a whopping $1.79/100g!), the seafood pancake ($3 per/ piece!), and the korean futomaki (Korean sushi made with shitake mushrooms, fish cake, cucumber, pickled radish, egg, and spinach). Next time I go, I will plan out a budget so I don't spend overboard like I did this time. Overall, I had a great time, and will definitely be returning to Coquitlam sometime to revisit this supermarket!Korean Supermarket
