Hi everyone!
The time is really flying by, its hard to believe its the beginning of the 4th week of training. This week we will find out where we weill be posted for the next two years. We met with our program director on Friday and she told us we're going to be in the north of the country in a town that is not vey tiny, but very remote. The town will have had a previous health volunteer, but Jason will be starting an environment program there. She said its about 2-3 hour drive to a workstation, or larger town. We're very excited about this and cant wait to find out the name of it so we can look on the map.

This week has been pretty successful. Jasons technical training included making a garden. He dug the rows with a hoe-like tool, and planted tomatoes and cucumbers. Other volunteers planted spinach and carrots. Also, the environment volunteers are planning to build a green space/park by the mayors office with lots of pretty flowers, fruit trees, benches, and bird houses. Rebecca technical has included learning about a miracle tree, the Moringa. Its a tree that grows easily in thie climate that has tons of vitamins and minerals and is known to help with ,any different ailments all over the world. I look forward to planting many of these trees and teaching locals about how well it treats malnutition. We got to try it out in this tomato sauce with rice and it was yummy!!

Last night Jason got to help with the cooking some more. He ground all the tomatoes and ^pimas (small peppers) and add them to the coucous and pork. I hope to do this as well soon. My sisters helped me with the laundry today, showing me the correct way to do it. It was fun.

Well, unfortunately, my time is up. Hope everyone is still doing well. We love all the emails!
