We have officially mastered the left handed stick shift, driving on the wrong side of the road, whilst looking everywhere but straight ahead.
Something that we just don't get... round-abouts. I think I've seen like 2 of these in the US. Its basically a way to take 2 to 6 streets that intersect at the same point and get everyone where they want to go with little or no red lights.
This one is my favorite: There are 2 Motorways somewhere in Southwest England that cross. Do they build ramps so that you can go from one to the other... not exactly. Exit one motorway, enter other motorway via roundabout. So you've got cars moving different directions at 80 MPH slowing down so that everyone can join in on an "all skate" oversized donut of death. Its basically like taking the 118 and 405 freeways down to the same level and installing Yield Signs... stupid!
Perhaps that would explain the 10 mile backup that we saw today on the motorway. Glad we weren't on that side!
By the way, Caryn passed her class! After many hours of mind-numbing work on a completely pointless book, its finally over. Next: Paris.
