Yesterday we rented a car, and drove through southern England for a week of British country-side. Weird enough to drive on the other side of the road, but also on the other side of the car and a stick shift on top of it all. We both had our share of driving, but when it comes down to it, Caryn does much better than I do, since I've never really had any training on the stick shift.
Today we went to Stratford-Upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare. In the morning we went to see his house, grabbed a meal and headed over to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre to catch a show... Antony and Cleopatra, starring Patrick Stewart (of Star Trek: Next Generation fame, for those non-trekies out there).
Stratford is truly a picturesque little town on a river in the middle of nowhere, Great Britain.
Tomorrow, we'll drive through the Cotswolds... real English, sheep herding country side and then head out to Wales for a few nights.

Memories...
Hey! I so remember going to Stratford and doing all those things you are talking about (but we were on a tour bus... I never thought I could get the hang of driving on the wrong side of the road) But we saw Merchant of Venice when we went to the theater. I'm glad you guys are able to do all this.
