Finally a free moment to sit and type. We've been here for a few days so far and it practically feels like we've done nothing worth writing about.
On Saturday, Caryn and I went to the Portabello Road Street Market at Notting Hill. Since I don't remember the movie, I can't really tell you whether it seemed the same or not. But it was quite an experience. We were there from 11am-4pm and didn't really see everything. Its a great time if you love Antiques, random little trinkets and miscellaneous junk. Very cool atmosphere. This was followed by yet more shopping on Oxford Street. I was ready to die and Caryn was just getting started. She says she needs a whole other day just to shop, and I promptly asked if I could be excused!
Sunday, we slept in a bit and went to the early service at Hillsong London (starts at 11:30am)... a very cool church. It meets in a theater that houses regular West End show, The Dominion Theatre. The music was great!
After church we headed over to Kensington Palace to Afternoon Tea, I was oh so excited... giddy even! No wait, that was Caryn.
Anyway, $50 later, Caryn had her tea time and I was at least full with soup and bread.
Today (Monday) we spent another morning shoping at another antique market, the Covent Garden Market. Cool little place, completely different from Notting Hill.
Tonight Caryn has quite a bit of work to do on her Class homework, and I get to relax and "veg-out" for what seems the 1st time in a month. My day is made!
Tomorrow we hope to catch a show, either the Producers or Lion King and a few more of the touristy things.
