We've come to an important decision in our lives... no more early flights!
We had to catch a 3:15 AM taxi to the airport this morning to make our 6:45 flight. Never again!
Anyway, after we got Caryn safely on the ground in Austria and the whole fear of flying thing worked out for the day, we had a great time!
After going through customs, I talked to a nice Austrian lady a the tourism desk and she sent us to a great little hostel in the center of old town Salzburg. It is actually attached to a church, St. Sebastian's. Very pleasant, if you happen to come through, check it out! There is a picturesque walking market type street right below our window. Nothing but shops for a mile.
We went up to the Fortress built... a long time ago by Bishops or some high ranking guys in the Catholic heirarchy and is still here (didn't pick much up did I!). Pretty amazing really, the views were incredible from the top, overlooking the city. Definitely worth the $15 each.
That was about the extent of our day really. Since we took a 2 hour nap when we first arrived, there wasn't much time to see too much before it all started closing.
Tomorrow, I think we'll see Mozarts haus and take a train to Innsbruck.
