We decided to break the long drive to New-Brunswick by making a stop in Riviere-du-loup staying at the newly built and fancy-shmancy econo-lodge (so nice that the owners of the whole chain decided that it was the nicest one in Canada, and that it should thus be upgraded to a quality inn. So go there while it's still cheap!!)

It was a pretty neat town. I liked it. Being a "hang-glow", I didn't feel out of place for even a second. People were a lot friendlier that I thought they would be. We went to a restaurant called L'Estaminet that must have been the most happenin' place in Rivi. It is now Riví, with the accent, just to make it cooler. Don't roll your eyes at me! They have moules et frites ŕ volonté. The atmosphere was great. It's worth the drive into town to find it. We later found out that it was owned by the same people that own the Econo-lodge! They must be doing pretty well!

I just wanted to add that, I'm a non-Frenchy. But, I can say that I had a semi-French conversation with some guy in the streets about cameras. OK, Lil had most of the conversation, but I did have some intelligent interjections. Oui, oui, hon, hon!!!
