We are at the end of three weeks in New Zealand and we have come to feel quite comfortable here. We have rented a camper van, (just a little thing with a pop up double bed on the top), are driving on the left side of the road (this has been Jim's job as he can't read in a moving vehicle), and are actually doing well with all of it. Well that is until today. We arrived in Auckland at about 6pm to loads of traffic. We managed to navigate around the city to within blocks of our youth hostel, but couldn't find it..Damn I'm getting old. I couldn't read the map, in the growing darkness. They sure are making the print on these maps small these days!! Had to stop and ask for help, which is tricky becsause there is no place to pull over. All in all we found the place and then had to park many blocks away.
We fly to Japan on sunday, and are preparing our packs, and sending off stuff that we have accumulated.
