What a place, this was picturebook accommodation - a fantastic wooden cabin located amongst the hills and olive groves of the Sicilian countryside - this was the perfect hideaway to cure our Munich hangovers. The nearest shop was a blister-forming 2 miles away through orange, lemon and lime plantations. To recover from that morning marathon, we spent lazy afternoons swimming and reading by the gorgeous pool, followed by a wee snooze in the cabin and then getting poshed up and down to the restaurant for our 5-course tea on the terrace. Pure relaxation.
All too posh for us minks though so onward to Taormina...
