Mini bus to the border... check out of Thailand, check in to Malaysia (just realised I can't spell) another stamp in the passport. Four hour drive to Penang arriving at 2.45 ( 1hr ahead of Thailand) Crossed over to Penang Island on the third longest bridge in the world (13 kilometres ?) Just like the Severn Bridge only longer.
Staying at a hotel next to the Chinese Quarter in Georgetown. After a cafe lunch with the group wandered to a shopping mall, mainly to get out of the heat - not tempted at all - remember the rucksack! BUT here's one for you Rob enjoyed a Frappucino at a Starbucks!!
Everyone declined an evening meal together - sorry Tom - and did there own thing. For me was a chance to catch up on this log and yipee I made it!! So biscuits it is for supper, or maybe a beer or two...
