Day 1
We arrived in Rome late in the afternoon, and since our hostel was further from the city, we decided to stay in the hostel resting the travelling day before hitting Rome for a full day. We were surprised when we arrived at Vila Anna, because we were expecting a double room and we actually got a full apartment, with kitchen, living room and terrace! All that for 35 euros per night!! Really good. Our hostess picked us up from the train station and he actually drove us to and from the station during our stay in Rome.
Day 2
We left to Rome in the morning, and even though we awere in the country side, it only took us 15-20 minutes to arrive at Termini Station, the main station in Rome. We met my parents, uncle and aunt at the station and from there started visiting Rome. We started at the Palatino Hill and Colosseum. For those who will visit Rome some day, please know that if you buy your tickets at the Palatino you will get a lot shorter queue and the ticket is good to visit both places. We saved a lot of time by starting at the Palatino. We were there for about 1 hour and then we headed to the Colosseum, where we spent the next hour or so
Day 3
We visited some other sites on our own because my relatived were visiting the Vatican in a specific tour, which Jarrett and I didnt want to go. So we planned on meeting them at the Vatican in the afternoon, and Jarrett and I visited some other places before then. We walked thru the Panthon, the Piazza Navona, the Piazza Madama, crossing the Tiber river spotting the Isola-Tiberina, and then we walked along the river until arriving at the Vatican. From there we walked in front of the Castle St Angelo and then back to the Panthon so my relatives could take a look. We got some ice cream and everyone was ready to go back to the hotels and rest. Jarrett and I walked back to the Termini station but this time we had no big surprises!!!

Coliseum
. After lunch we walked around Rome, visiting a few other sites of interest, like Fontana di Trevi and Piazza de Spagna, before the highlight of the day! When we said our good byes, my parents and relatives took the metro and Jarrett and I decided to walk back to Termini to go to the hostel. On the way, we walked thru some other sites, stopping at a specific one that was intentionally lighted more than usual. We arrived at the Republica Square and noticed that the luxurius hotel around was having some party, where a huge poster of George Clooneys new movie (Leathernecks) was hanging outside. So we found out it was the movie premiere and that George Clooney himself was coming to that very same hotel where Jarrett and I were standing! So after about 40 minutes wait, George arrived and I was very lucky to be pushed by the crowd to the front where he came to greet the fans. I was less than a foot away from him and of course I froze. All I could say was "your are so cute", which he probably didnt even hear. I was so close that I could have hugged and asked for a picture, but instead, I stood there, filming him and didnt even touch his arm... oh well! The man is gorgeous. That made my day! This is all coming from Alane, as Jarrett was a little behind with the camera. So the pictures are not very clear, but the video is.Day 3
