Without option, we visit Santiago de Chile!!

No tours... NO TOURS...so we did laundry!hahah :(
Seriously, the list that our names were in was also cancelled, so we had to find other stuff to do and laundry was our first idea...so we find a place and then we were off to visit some of Santiago sightseeing spots. We visited the Park Santa Lucia, where there is a fort up high and you can see the entire city from up there. In case you dont know, Santiago is the Capital of Chile and it is a big city surrounded by mountains, the Andes, which we could not see due to the smog they have.... but we imagined it can be pretty. Going along, we stop at the Plaza de Armas of Santiago which is probably the worst plaza de Armas we have seen. The Plazas are usually big courtyards with a main church as you may have seen from our previous pictures, but this one was along a sidewalk that had been built up around with conveinient stores and what not and had actually been turned into a bank. So not the nicest Plaza. We also visited the Moneda Palace, which is the President's Office place. It is a really pretty place where tourists can walk thru the center courtyards and check out the outsides of the building without paying!
It is funny to let you all know what Jarrett did! On our way to the Moneda palace, we stopped for ice cream. As in America, they give you little tastes so you can decide what flavor you want. So, the man picked a little spoon from this bowl over the counter and gave Jarrett a sample of what he asked for. Jarrett very satisfied with his choice, licks the spoon one last time and without any doubt throws the spoon BACK in the bowl, along with all the other "unlicked" spoons (I thought it was a bowl the used ones). The man's face seeing this was priceless. So, after I help Jarrett realize his stupidity, we had to trash the entire bowl out... that's Jarrett I guess.
