Remember Saratoga?.........So the Green Mountain Boys fought the Red coats in Bennington too, which made the Red coats very tired by the time they arrived at Saratoga. We found out this bit of information at the Bennington Battle Monument. This monument is 306 ft. tall and after a ride in the elevator we could see NY, VT and MASS. It's the tallest structure in Vermont.
We continued our history lesson at the Bennington Museum where we saw:

Grandma  Moses Art
The oldest Bennington Flag ever flown
Military articles
Vermont furniture and early American art
and lots of other painting, etc, etc.
