Followed the road to the Adirondack Mountains...best foliage route so far..more reds.  We also, meandered parallel to the Erie Canal and at times The Hudson River. Stopped to check out the Saratoga National Historical Park, where a major battle took place on Oct. 7, 1777. This placed the French on our side.

Lake George would be a perfect place to bring kids, I was thinking of the grandkids. There are at least 2 pee wee golf courses, water slides, tall figures like Uncle Sam and of course a park!
