Today we tried another place for breakfast, but doesn't compare to the one yesterday.... we regret not repeating the place...
After hanging around the town, we went to the peer to see the lake. Very impressive lake. The tide was high and the day was windy so it would be difficult to kayak. We ended up getting a lake tour around the islets. Too bad that due to the tide we couldn't go to the Ometepe island.
The lake looks good, too bad is so full of houses. In one of hte islets (one of hte smaller ones) they keep a bunch of monkeys. It seems that people like to get near and feed them with bread. The monkeys are so used to get food from the boats that turn aggressive if they're not fed. Instead of a attraction i thought of it as cruel. Specially when i saw one of the monkeys with no tail. Since the islet is far from any land, the monkey tried to reach a high voltage cable that runs on top, and the electric shock burned his tail. Also there is no fruit trees so i don't think they're healthy... anyways that was the ecologic part of me talking....
We had our lunch in a restaurant in the shores. It's very good and the view is just relaxing.
The next day we went back to San Jose. The bus is much more comfortable this time. However, the stop at the border took longer. About 4 hours of checking bags, presenting documents etc. We got on the bus when it was dark. I just slept all the way back.
Even though it was a short trip, I'm definitely planing a second tour and include some more cities. I received an excellent impression from Nicaragua
