The burial site of Kings Mohammed V and Hassan II are built on the grounds of an unfinished mosque that boasts a beautiful minaret.
Casablanca is a nice, large, modern-looking city. The Casablanca Bar is a disappointment, with a few tacky pictures based around the movie and a severely overpriced menu.
The Mosque of King Hassan II, however, is well worth a look. If you are in Casablanca for one day, this is a must see. Costing almost $1 billion to complete, it stands as the world's 3rd largest mosque. Complete with a Turkish bath (hamam) and a Moroccan bath for public use, it is made almost exclusively from Moroccan materials and by Moroccan artisans (which may explain its finely detailed beauty).
