After forging the Dardanelles (on a ferry that took our whole tour bus, of course), we stormed Gallipoli, where during WWI thousands of Australians and New Zealanders lost their lives to the Turks, led by (pre-Republic) Mustafa Kemal (pre-Ataturk). After that, back to Istanbul for a little rest before switching continents.
