Thursday, September 1st

Next on our stop were the three Yorks – York Village, York Harbor, and York Beach. We were able to park in a lot in York Village and walk around the town a little bit.  We checked out a cute little store with really cute purses.  There was a really gorgeous orange one that would match my orange dress I have for weddings.  Then we headed in to the art gallery next door, which had a super cute dog wondering in and out of the gallery.

When we finished up in York Village we headed to York Beach where were able to get a parking spot right on the beach.  We walked down to the water and dipped our toes in the water.  After checking out the beach some we headed back to the RV to put together lunches that we could eat on the beach.  Jared got out our chairs and set them up on the beach for us.  There were no signs saying dogs weren't allowed on the beach so we took Nash on the beach for our lunch.  It was a great stop on our drive.

After lunch we piled in the RV again and headed out the Nubble Light House.  As soon as we parked there was an old guy who instantly showed up at Jared’s window to discuss places to go in our RV.  He said that he has been to every state in the US twice and had some excellent advice on places for us to go in New England.  When we got out of the RV there were some rocks on the water that we were able to climb on.  Out on the rocks there were a guy and a girl fishing.  They were practically catching a mackerel every time they cast out.  They each had about 6 hooks on their lines and were catching multiple mackerels on each cast.  It was pretty cool to watch and probably fun for them.  That is the type of fishing I would enjoy doing.

Next we tried to stop in Ogunquit and Kennebunkport to just walk around and check out the cute little towns.  We weren’t able to find any parking though.  Actually we did find a spot on a street that we could parallel park in.  Jared got us in and then we saw a sign that said no parking for motorhomes and trailers.  So we ended up having to pull out and head out of town.
