Thursday, July 14th

We drove in to Madison to check it out and decided to park near the capitol building so that we could walk around some. We ended up walking up and down State St. This was a cool street full of restaurants and small boutiques. We had a good time just checking everything out. We took Nash with us and by the end he was super thirsty and hot. We headed back to the RV only to find that we were parked in. We had pulled in to the last meter spot and pulled up all the way so that we were just in the white lines painted on the ground. When we pulled in there was no one in front of us but now there was a van giving us no way to move forward. When we had gotten out of the RV a SUV pulled up behind us and looked like he was just parking real quick to run some groceries in to his place. We were gone for about 45 minutes and when we got back the SUV was still there, but there was no driver. He had his flashers on, the trunk wide open, and the car running. We were highly annoyed that he was still there because it wasn't a legal parking spot and we were floored that no one was stealing his car. He had pulled up real close to our bikes so I wanted to steal his car just to drive it around the corner so that we could pull out and he wouldn’t know where his car was. We ended up just waiting in the RV for about 10 minutes and the lady in the van in front of us came back and we were able to head out.
