Tuesday, May 10th

We slept in at our campground and took our time getting to Kylie's place.  Kylie had to work today and said that she would be home by around 6:30pm.  We drove to her place first to see if we could find a place to park the RV before people got home from work. Her block was the only block that wasn't 2 hour parking and it was all full.  We decided to drive to Santa Monica Pier and were able to park in a parking lot right near the pier. We headed up and walked around the pier for a while. It isn't too big of a pier though.  We could definitely spend a long time people watching though.

After finishing up at the pier we headed back to Kylie's and hit some great Los Angeles traffic. It had taken us about a half hour to get to Santa Monica Pier and took us about an hour and a half to get home.  Luckily we weren't in to much of a rush since we figured we would still beat Kylie home.  We did and we got a spot on her block that was big enough for the RV.  We took Nash for a walk and by the time we were done Kylie was home. We went in to check out her apartment and to wait for her boyfriend Piam to get there. Then we all headed to Casa Vega on Ventura Blvd. It was a Mexican place that isn't too big of a place.  We were told we would have to wait for 45 minutes, but it took more like 15 minutes. The food was excellent and we had a great time hanging out. After finishing up dinner we headed to the Blue Dog Beer Tavern, which is pretty close to Kylie's place. They had some great beers on draft and bottles.  We hung out for some beers, then headed home for bed.

Wednesday, May 11th

Today we decided to do a driving tour around Los Angeles. We drove down Ventura Blvd through Studio City until it became Cahuenga Blvd which took us in to Hollywood.  We found a great parking spot and were able to walk around the corner to Grauman's Chinese Theatre and the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  We didn't spend to much time there.  We just took some pictures and then headed back to the RV.  I did get freaked out by a Jack Sparrow look a like who came up next to me while I was taking my pictures. He moved on quickly though so it all went well.
When we left the Hollywood Walk of Fame we decided to head to the Hollywood sign to get some pictures. It was a little tricky to get up to a good spot to see the sign because the roads were pretty narrow and winding, but Jared handled them like a pro. We got to a great place to see the sign and take a bunch of pictures.

Once leaving the Hollywood sign we decided to head to Sunset Blvd to head down it and check out the sites along the way.  We drove all the way down Sunset Blvd in to Beverly Hills.  We decided to drive down Rodeo Drive and check that out. We again found a great parking spot and got out to walk up and down Rodeo Drive. We didn't even go in to any stores since we knew we couldn't find anything, but it was pretty cool to just window shop.

After finishing up on Rodeo Drive we drove through Bel-Air and then headed out to Malibu so we could spend the night at a campground out there.
