Friday, March 25th

Jared and I didn't go to today's game, but the Phillies beat Atlanta 3-1. The guys said that they had some awesome seats. They were 16 rows back from home plate. We met up with them after the game to go to the Tilted Kilt for dinner. It was right next to their hotel and after dinner we all just went back to their room and hung out for a little bit.

Saturday, March 26th
We had tickets to today's game which started at 1:05pm and was against Toronto. We rode our bikes over to meet up with the guys on the fields behind Bright House Field. This is where all the minor league guys play games during spring training. It was pretty cool because you are so close to them. Each of the 4 fields have bleachers set up and there is a walk way for the players to walk along the fence of the field then another short fence on the other side of them and then the walkway for us to get on the bleachers. It was pretty cool to be able to be so close. We hung out for a while watching them then Jared, Bryant and I headed back to their room to leave our bikes there and Bryant needed to change. Mike and Joe went to Buffalo Wild Wings to get something to eat before the game. Then we all meet up to head in to the stadium together. Our seats for today were on the Berm which is the grass in the outfield. It is pretty awesome because the stadium isn't that big so we were like right in the middle behind Ben Francisco (who we are now referring to as Treat, we think the nickname will catch on) and Victorino. We just lounged on the grass with a bucket of beers and watched the game. It was nice and relaxing, unfortunately we lost 6-7.

After the game we went to La Hacienda for some 2 for 1 margaritas and some Mexican food. We each decided to have 6 margaritas and then headed back to the hotel to hang out by the pool and drink some more. I took a nice nap, those margaritas caught up with me fast. By the time I woke up it was dark and the guys had made some friends out by the pool. They were chatting it up with a group of fellow Phillies fans. We hung out there for a while, and then decided that we needed to eat again. We had passed Joe's Crab Shack when we were driving Joe to the hotel on Friday so we decided to go there. We think we got there around 11 or so and are pretty sure that we were there until like 1ish. We were definitely the last customers in the place. For some reason we decided to have margaritas again and then our waiter TC decided that we needed some tequila shots so he showed up at our table with a shot for each of us. Apparently Joe and I decided that we all needed another round of margaritas and TC decided we all needed another shot. So anyway it was a long dinner but a fun one. After paying the bill Jared and I headed out pretty quickly cause Nash had been home for a long time by himself. He was fine when we got home. He can hold it for a really long time, which is lucky for us.

Sunday, March 27th

Today was a rough day. I was really hungover and didn't get out of bed until like 2pm. Jared was better off then me but he was sluggish also. He texted the guys to see if they wanted to come over for dinner later and they said sure. So we spent some time getting things prepped for dinner. We decided to have some shish kabobs cause we had pretty much all the stuff for them and Joe's fish that he caught when we were in Key West. Besides prepping for dinner, which Jared did most of we just watched some movies on Netflix and relaxed. The guys came over around like 6pm, it was a rough slow day for them as well. So we had a pretty mellow dinner and just hung out for a while. They all loved Joe's fish and the kabobs. I didn't try any fish this time but we still have more in the freezer that Joe left with us since he couldn't really keep it frozen on the plane. It sucks for him, but works out nicely for us. We will have to grill it up sometime for dinner again and I am going to try to actually eat a good amount of it. It isn't to fishy tasting so I think I should be good. The guys headed home around 8 or so and we cleaned up then watched some movies.

The Phillies had an away game today against Atlanta and won 6-1.

Monday, March 28th

We had another Phillies game today at 1:05pm. The weather did not look good for today, but it wasn't raining when we left our place for the field around 10am so that was good. We again met up to go over to the minor league fields. They weren't playing yet just warming up. We heard that Cliff Lee was going to pitch down on the minor league field today. We were trying to wait it out to see him, but for some reason the minor league games started at the same time as the Phillies. So we headed in to the stadium pretty early. We wanted to do some shopping and then get to the Tikki Terrace in good time. The Tikki Terrace is located behind left field and is a first come first serve for seats. It had rained while we were in the store and the guy cleaning off the seats said we could save seats so we set up 5 seats in the front row and went back up to get food and drinks. When we got back our seats were gone, apparently the guy lied to us. We ended up in the second row though with a great view. These seats were awesome. We could see all the guys coming out on to the field from the locker room. I got tons of pictures of them walking out. We didn't get any autographs, but that is cause they didn't do batting practice on the field before the game. They usually do and then they will sign autographs up the third base line (before the game anyone is allowed down there to get them) when they head back in to the locker room.  Most of the guys didn't sign any when they came out for the start of the game, besides the ones that weren't playing today. Then they will sign them again when they are done for the game, but this time only people with tickets in those sections can get them. We were still pretty close to all the guys and we scoped out what seats we want to get for next year.

Joe and Bryant did head back down to the minor league fields during the game. Lee was pitching and Joe got some really sweet close up shots of him. By the time Jared was going to head down to try to take some pictures he was done. If I get some pictures off of Joe I will post them.

They got a good amount of the game in before it started really raining. It was like they knew exactly when the major rain was going to hit cause all the main guys were taken out of the game right before it really started pouring. Francisco's home run in the 4th went right over our heads and bounced off the back side of the tikki bar. We were hoping it would bounce forward down to us but no luck. We did see Bryant on ESPN later though running over to try to catch it if it bounced back down. When it started to really come down we left and went to Buffalo Wild Wings. The Phillies were winning when we left.  They gave up some runs late in the game, but still pulled out the win 7-6. We ate some wings had a couple of beers and then the guys headed out to pick up their luggage from the hotel and head to the airport. Jared and I had another beer hoping for the rain to slow some. It didn't so we had to ride home in the pouring rain. We had our raincoats on but we still got soaked. Our upper bodies were dry from our coats but everything was wet. When we got back we had to take Nash out in the pouring ran. He doesn't care at all if he gets wet, it doesn't make his walk any faster. Since we were soaked already it didn't matter to us though. I was stomping through the puddles splashing Nash it was pretty fun.

When we got back inside we got cleaned up and dried off. Then I took a nice nap while Jared watched some movies. When I woke up we ate some leftovers from the night before and then watched some more movies before going to bed. It poured pretty much all night.

Tuesday, March 29th

We haven't done to much today yet, but once I am done blogging we are going to get to work. We need to try to plan out some more of our trip so that my parents and Shannon can come meet up with us over Easter. We need to set up a place for them to fly in to so they can book some tickets. Also, Jenny and Bryant are trying to meet up with us in the Summer so we have figure out a week for them so they can buy tickets too. It is supposed to start pouring again at like 1pm and not stop all day so I am sure we will probably just end up inside working on our schedule most of the day. I think we already decided to skip Savannah cause it is way out of our way for now. So we don't know yet where we are heading to on Thursday when we leave here. We will figure it out though.

Glad the raincoat is working out. Great pics of a great team. It was also nice to get some details surrounding the drunk dialing of Saturday night. Hahaha. I'm glad you guys had so much fun, and I hope we can go next year.

Jen, we'll miss you at our first game on Saturday.

Have fun and be safe.

Yeah we definitely need to make plans for next year and have all you girls come too. I am so upset I won't be at the game on Saturday. Being at the games this past weekend made me really miss having a package. Hopefully we will catch some games on the road though.
