Friday, February 25th
Today we woke up in Natchez State Park and ran to the office to pay for last nights site.  All went well on the way there, but we did run in to an issue on the way back.  When we left the office a stray dog ran over to try to check out Nash. We didn't really want the dog to get close to Nash because we assumed that he was full of tics and fleas, he was super cute though. We waited until the dog passed us some and pulled Nash away to head back to our camp site.  Of course the stray dog was having none of that and decided to follow us back the entire way to our site. It was quite a battle to pull Nash along, but we finally made it. The stray continued to hang around so we had to keep Nash in the whole time that we were packing up. We felt so bad about the stray and Jared was going to call the park ranger, but another camper said that he already called the ranger about it. Hopefully they will come and take care of him and some one will adopt him. He was super cute. Jared at first was like we might have another traveler with us, but I was like no way Nash and him would kill each other in our little home. I was secretly thinking the same thing until I came to my senses. HAHA

After packing up we headed in to downtown Natchez to check it out. We had a magazine with a walking tour through the town. Jared played tour guide and led us through the town. It was a really cute little place. I took lots of pictures throughout the tour and Jared was a patient tour guide waiting for me. He tried to get me to tip him at the end, but I didn't think he was good enough for that.  It was a really pretty town though. We definitely enjoyed ourselves walking around.  Once we were done our tour we headed to the Cock of the Walk for lunch. I had a burger which was good and Jared had the lunch special that included some fried catfish, he said it was tasty.

After lunch we headed out of Natchez for New Orleans and Mardi Gras.
